Have Anything for Frizz?
I was wondering if you have any products or could make any suggestions for natural products that aid in controlling frizz (I have kinky-curly hair), but without making my hair too greasy or stiff? My hair is well moisturized (thanks to your Fruits and Flowers leave-in!!!) but i can’t control the frizz!
The technical cause of frizz is damaged hair, thus breakage causing strand frizziness, though many use the term to mean really curly-puffy, and often with some straggler strands. Which do you mean by ‘frizz’?
Okay, I have corkscrew curls and in between the curls my hair is frizzy almost to the point of being straight, mostly on the crown of my head. It could be damage. I’ve been going natural for 8 months and I cut the relaxer off the ends about 3 months ago. Prior to then, I had a relaxer for most of my life. In the morning, I moisturize my hair, but by midday the center is frizzy and dry. I’m at a loss because I deep condition my hair after every wash, use a scarf at night, etc. At first i though it was the humidity (I live in Pittsburgh), but now I’m not so sure.
Thank you very much for your encouragement; it has re-affirmed for me that I am taking proper steps in my hair care and I will continue to be patient! It’s so hard to know if you are doing the right thing because there is so much conflicting information around. Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with me – it has truly been a help and I am excited to continue my journey to healthy and natural hair.
